🌊📡 New Bahamas AIS Requirements Take Effect July 2025! 📅⚓

🚨 Attention all mariners and vessel operators! 🚨
The Bahamas 🇧🇸 has officially enacted the Port Authorities (Amendment) Bill 2025, bringing new AIS (Automated Identification System) rules into play for foreign vessels. Here's what you need to know:

🛥️ Who’s affected?
➡️ All foreign vessels 50 feet and over

📋 What’s required?
✅ AIS must be installed and approved
✅ AIS must be functioning properly at all times
✅ AIS must be ON whether you’re:

Docked 🛳️

Traversing 🚤

Just passing through Bahamian waters 🌴

💸 Non-compliance?
Expect a $1,000 fine 💵

⏳ Enforcement begins: July 2025
