Sturgis and Union County are just a quick trip from the airport, with local restaurants and lodging nearby. Land, grab the keys and go explore.

Because apparently your fuel stop can have a tee time. ⛳️✈️ One of our favorite things about TWT? Elkwood Golf Course is located right here on airport grounds.

Fly in, park the airplane and trade the yoke for a golf club for a few hours. Not a bad way to spend a day in Western Kentucky.

Before TWT became the airport we know today, it had a very different mission. 🇺🇸 Originally built in 1942 as Sturgis Army Airfield, the airport played a role in World War II troop training before being transferred to local ownership in 1948. More than eight decades later, aviation is still very much alive in Sturgis.
