Your room, main dining, buffet, most entertainment, and basic drinks like coffee and juice are typically included. What's not: specialty restaurants, alcohol packages, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and excursions. Knowing the difference before you book keeps your final bill from surprising you.

Everyone's booked Jamaica and the Bahamas. Here's where the Caribbean insiders actually go.

The obvious islands are obvious for a reason, but the Caribbean has quieter corners worth knowing about. Think Bequia, where the pace slows down the second you land. Overpacking formalwear nobody actually wears anymore. Forgetting a power strip for limited outlets. Skipping motion sickness meds just in case. Not packing a small day bag for excursions. The right packing list isn't about bringing more, it's about bringing the right things.

Red Rock Canyon for a hike before the pool day starts. The Arts District for coffee shops and murals that don't feel like Vegas at all. Lake Mead for a day on the water. There's a version of Vegas that has nothing to do with the casino floor, and it might be the better trip.
