Friday we delivered 10 Wood Duck Nesting boxes to Darinn Hauf from the Delta Duck club, St.Charles chapter. Darinn tells us his club will be replacing old and putting up new boxes in Busch Wildlife Area and surrounding wet lands. This pass week while doing my nest box check, I found a Carolina Wren nesting in its own box , built for it. This spring started making this style box which is specially designed for this species. They like the greater opening and the extra room the box offers. Pretty pleased with my box so far.
