How sweet it is to be loved by these cats 😻 😸
So snuggly! They came into our lives in March this year, when we fostered a young mama and her 3 tiny newborns. Anida Catalina (mama) and Gilbert stayed, and became furrever family. ❤️ I wish this cuddly bliss on everyone. 🐾

Haven’t had the mind to post in a while. But this recent short trip to Boise was so memorable, I figured it deserves a share. Best friends (for us all) are salve to the soul.
From the mountain coaster ride to walks along the river… and my delight in seeing my boy’s face clearly again when his long locks went bye bye!
Grateful for my Boise family. Grateful for so much.

The yearly tradition of gathering with friends on the beach and saying goodbye to the previous year with a Xmas tree bonfire. Another institution of life in Santa Cruz. (Note that it’s a small well-contained fire near the ocean, clean burning, the tree burns quickly, and the smoke dissipates over the sea.)

In case you’re wondering where in the world are we now… yep the eagle has landed back in California. Quite a journey we went on, my son and I, worldschooling through SE Asia for the past almost 5 months, joining up with an international community and calling new places home. Quite a shift to go from warm beaches last week, to donning a cashmere scarf and going out with dear local friends, who gave me a wonderful sense of reconnection with my home community. These women are gems; thank you mamas! I have some pretty awesome people in my world.
Grateful for friends far and wide, old and new, traveling and local! ❤️ Happy holidays to everyone!

(P.s. even though we are back, you may still see me pop some retrospective memories in here from my travels as I reflect on what all we’ve just experienced!)
