Mission Statement:Our utmost goal is to help online content creators financially.
The very reason that we start this campaign is to help online content creators financially, through creative business/financial model and practice. It is for every and all online content creators. Our performance will be evaluated by, in addition to bottom line, how many people we have helped financially. We believe we can do good and do well.
This ORCCA campaign is really a part of the larger picture of mitigating the job loss trend caused by the impact of automation (robot, drone and artificial intelligence) and Internet revolution. For suggestions on how to mitigate the mass-scale job losses, please see archived articles in Facebook group/page, O'Moose Forum.
Expectations
(1) It is not a zero-sum game: The beauty of innovation is to create something out of nothing. Five thousand years ago, people couldn't imagine to feed a society of 1,000,000 people with the agricultural technology of the time. But look us now, we feed and house 7 billion people. New business models will create new income streams that feed artists and social network users.
(2) Keep our artistic members afloat: Call us silly but we are kind of like to keep our artistic members alive...uh...like...to put food on their tables.
(3) We are a FOR organization instead of an AGAINST organization: We are for creating jobs and for creating new income streams; we are not against business and not against technology.
(4) Benevolent, Non-Political (domestically or internationally) and nonpartisan: We expect ORCCA to be a benevolent, non-political (domestically or internationally) and nonpartisan organization.
Our Cause
We are about:
-- social entrepreneurship (our performance, in addition to the bottom line, will be evaluated by how many people we have helped financially),
--promoting online content creators' financial interests, and
--helping people to make a decent living by doing what they like to do--artistic creativities.
WHY are we starting this group?
We are starting this group to promote the economic interests and rights of online, as well as offline, content creators and owners. The name of this FB group and page is "Online Rights and Creative Content Alliance" or ORCCA tm. The main purpose of this group is to promote financial interests of artists, song writers, authors, photographers, filmmakers and alike. Creating artistic expression or literature is a noble job, which needs to be recognized and rewarded financially. Hopefully with the participation of the artist community, from now on, we can say: "yes, Dad. I do have a job and it pays well." Wouldn't it be nice if your summer trip to Hawaii could pay for itself through sharing your pictures and videos online?
Note:
**Alternative Strategy: Building consensus first (or marketing first if you will) before building the product.:
We suggest an alternative to the traditional startup approach of building a minimum viable product, marketing it to see whether there is traction and pivoting if not. What if we can tell a compelling story to build consensus among potential clientele and then build the product according to the responses received in our storytelling stage?
The Spider-Man movie was an instant success because the audience knew the story already through the comic books.
**Nondisclosure of Proprietary Business Models and Information (no exception):
As a lawyer, I know how important to keep proprietary IP information confidential. No proprietary business models, IP documents or information about ORCCA have been and will be disclosed to, including without limitation, PEs, VCs, Angels, investors, cofounders (not intend to have any), employees (will recruit upon receiving funding), friends, family, professional advisors, consultants, meetup groups, incubators, accelerators, pitch groups/events unless a Nondisclosure Agreement is signed. Only very few selected potential investors and platforms or strategic partners will be disclosed to in a private setting upon signing of a Nondisclosure Agreement. Thank you for understanding.
