Hey guys, just wanted to bring you up to speed on the pending orders in the Q😉! Rena is feeling a little stressed and that is partly my fault! Around the first part of December I was telling guys that it would be at least 8 weeks and you all that ordered understood, but what I wasn’t expecting was that last week of December we just got slammed with orders…guys wanting to get everything on their list before we closed up! Lots of them ordering multiple packs with pockets! Unfortunately, it ended up being more than 8 weeks turnaround, and Rena will probably be working on the orders well into April! If that timeframe is not working for you, we can refund your money no problem! Rena has been sewing lots of hours, sometimes into the night and kinda feels under the gun🙁! She really doesn’t want to be sewing so many hours per day and would like to have some time to have fun! You see my posts where we’re out with the doggies, but only for a short time during the day, then back to work, and also the occasional trip to Reno to visit her parents and have a little free time to enjoy life😉! So, if you have an order in our Q, you know it will get done, but just not in the 8 weeks I previously stated! Hope you can understand this predicament and hopefully Rena will feel better knowing that you all are aware of it! Again, just let us know if you need a refund, as it’s no problem😉!

Out with our last pack that we released 5 days before we shut down PocketUp and it is our Chester Pack named after our big boy Chester who is no longer with us❤️!

I would like to announce that we have shut down our little mom and pop business PocketUp after an awesome 7 1/2 years😀! We would really like to thank all of our customers that supported us through those years😀! Our business PocketUp may be gone, but the name will always be with us! When Rena builds something for us, we will still give it a PocketUp name lol😀! We went out with a bang with a new pack and a crazy amount of orders…Rena will be working on the Q until probably the end of March when all the orders will finally be done😉! By then I will have some things I want built for myself😎! Our PocketUp page here will still be active and I’ll keep posting about our gear😀!

Here’s a customer/friend’s ManUp Bag that Rena just finished😉! He asked Rena if we had any Multicam Black left, and she found just enough to do this bag😀! He wanted a Blaze Orange lining and it turned out to be a cool combo color😉!

A customer and long time friend’s Large Park Pack shipped out today😉! He ordered it in Wolf Grey with all Coyote accents! Also, with a sewn on Gus Pocket and side carry handles…it came out nice😀! If you notice a shadow looking stripe coming down the center in the front, I just erased a blue marker line with a damp cloth lol😀!

This is our 7th anniversary for PocketUp and it’s been so much fun, and we’re still going strong even without a website…and we have new products coming for this year😀! As most of you know, we started PocketUp with one pocket, one size, and one color…our SeeAll Pocket! We now offer around 40 pockets, for internal and external use in/on packs, some in 4 sizes and 6 colors😉! About 4 months in, we decided to start building packs, and our very first pack was our Park Pack, which is now available in 2 sizes and 3 different configurations! After introducing our Park Pack, we kept going developing new packs, and now offer 18 packs in different sizes and configurations, and available in 7 colors😉! We want to thank all of our customers for supporting us, just a small mom and pop home business, and we appreciate you all😀! Here are 3 captioned photos!

I always hear guys saying they need a frame sheet of some type because their pack is too floppy😉! No frame sheet needed for our PocketUp Park Packs, as you can see here in the photo of our Large Park Pack, that is completely empty and standing on its own😎! Starting at the back, there is 1050d Ballistic Nylon, 2 layers of foam (closed cell and open cell), 400d Nylon, and sheet Velcro…all sewn with 92 # bonded nylon thread! The rest of the pack bag is built with 1000d Cordura and lined with 400d Nylon! I guess you could use the old phrase “built like a brick sh*thouse” to describe our packs lol😀!

Rena just finished up this Large Park Pack with a sewn on Gus Pocket for a customer, using the fabric he sent us, which is called Port, like a Port wine😉! She still has to make him some pockets in that same color before it all goes out!

We started building our Terrier and Vido patrol packs around 6 years ago, and I decided not to use Delta straps, just the lower snugger strap! I really didn’t want to copy Kifaru, but I see a few companies use them now! When I recently designed our Little Bubbie Lumbar Pack, I went with the Delta straps and remembered how effective they are😉! I know they are most effective on the smaller lumbar packs, and that effectiveness diminishes progressively as the packs get taller! I remember the Delta straps were not as effective on the Kifaru EMR with 26” stays as they were on say a Marauder with 19” stays! Anyhow, I had Rena rip open my Vido and put in tension lock buckles for the Delta straps! She was not a happy camper doing it, as she sews the packs together so strong that it’s a pain to take them apart😉! I’ve been testing my Vido with the Delta straps and can say it’s an easy 10% improvement in carry comfort…and the Vido was very comfortable without the Deltas😎! Our Terrier and Vido Patrol Packs will now come standard with the Delta straps, and not the lower snugger strap…an inline change! The Delta strap will come sewn onto the waistbelt…no need to remove it as our belts are not designed to be used as battle belts😉! Here’s a pic of my Vido with the Delta straps!
