So excited! Our new baby has finally arrived in Brazoria County and the crew is unloading her today. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever make it here from Alabama but the weather finally cooperated enough.
We will have use of a 4600 Manitowoc crane with 60 ft ringer. With 500 ton capacity to drydock our boats and barges.
We are looking into a barge big enough to hold it so we can use it for customer projects in the area but in the mean time, we will be able to pick up pretty much anything we need to.
We couldn't have gotten it here without several people helping out. Some of our customers have now become vendors....McDonough Marine rented us the barge and hired Intracoastal Marine/Patriot Marine to get the barge and crane to Texas. McDonough Marine Service and as such Intracoastal Tug and Barge Company, LLC. have both been customers of ours in the past but I am happy to say they are both great companies to work with and if we ever need to move something we can't, will definitely give them a call.
Roger with -Marine-and-Industrial-Services.
Roger traveled to Mobile and helped our crew with the prep and loading. SWS and J&S have worked back and forth for years and it's always awesome when you can have a Great working relationship with local companies.
If you ever need a surveyor in the Mobile area...Rivers & Gulf Marine Surveyors were awesome to work with. Even with the ever changing date due to weather, they got out laod and stow survey done and sent over so our insurance would cover everything as needed.
Can't forget our awesome insurance ladies working to get the policy put in place that was requires to get the crane home. Vidal Knight & Julie at Assured Partners.
We would also like to thank John with Adams Machinery for getting the crane ready to go and helping with the loading. If you are ever looking for machinery to buy (or sell) he's awesome to work with.
Last but certainly not least, thanks goes out to our awesome crew. 3 of them joined Johnie in Mobile to prep and load the crane. What started as Sun-Fri turned into Sun-2am Mon a week later with no notice but they got it done. Today almost the entire crew has been working in the cold foggy drizzle prepping and unloading the crane. Although the office staff wasn't out helping load or unload they certainly helped with coordinating everything from purchase to load to getting it home. We couldn't do what we do without our amazing crew & staff.
