NYS Department of Environmental Conservation is encouraging everyone to “Get there Green!” the week of September 20th. The campaign is aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions as transportation is one of the highest sources of emissions in New York State. For more information visit the DEC’s website

Between September 20 to 27, 2026 simply walk, bike, take public transit, carpool, drive an electric vehicle, or use another form of sustainable transportation (not driving alone in a fossil fuel-powered vehicle) for the trip(s).
