Tomorrow I start building.

I was selected to participate in Lovable SheBuilds, a global build competition bringing women together from around the world to turn ideas into working products using AI.

My preparation has looked a little different than I expected. I have been interviewing my employees, mapping real workflows inside my business, researching existing technology, challenging my assumptions, and narrowing the problem I want to solve.

The hardest part has not been coming up with ideas. It has been deciding what NOT to build.

One piece of advice from the Lovable team has stayed with me: solve one problem extremely well rather than trying to build everything.

So that is the challenge I am taking into tomorrow. Start with a real problem. Keep the solution focused. Build it from scratch. See what happens.

I am excited, nervous, learning a ton, and having an absolute blast doing this.

Tomorrow, we build. 💛

We are proud to announce that AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage CEO and President Gloria Pugh has been selected for lovable.dev SheBuilds Season 04.

SheBuilds is a global 72 hour build event where selected women use AI and Lovable to turn ideas into working products. In the previous season, more than 3,300 applicants from 122 countries applied, with 210 selected.

Gloria will be developing a technology solution inspired by real operational challenges within the moving, warehousing, logistics and FF&E industries.

We are proud to see her combining decades of industry experience with emerging technology to explore what comes next.

Tallahassee has a beautiful story to tell and each of us has a part in it.

As CEO of AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage, I believe in showing up, contributing and supporting the community we call home.

Today, AMWAT Moving was one of the sponsors for the Tallahassee Board of Realtors® annual breakfast and installation of new board members. Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director Michael Dalby’s message resonated: acknowledge our challenges while celebrating the many things that make Tallahassee amazing.

Then, at the Governors Club, I celebrated 15 years of ladieslearningtolead (L3), mentoring young women and opening doors to success. So proud of founder Samantha Vance! Congratulations to my girl, Dana Brooks for her contributions, and thank you to everyone who makes L3 successful.

It was also a privilege to meet Congressman Byron Donalds, who is running for governor of Florida. I enjoyed meeting him and appreciate his support of L3. Whatever our political views, we can recognize the time, effort and responsibility public service requires.

Let’s tell Tallahassee’s positive story and ask ourselves: What can I contribute to make our community even better?

Our CEO, Gloria Pugh, spent yesterday celebrating Second Harvest of the Big Bend new facility and learning about AI and the future of work at Tallahassee State College. At AMWAT, being part of our community also means investing in the people and skills that will carry our business forward.

AMWAT’s CEO, Gloria Pugh, will serve as a panelist at the Aegis AI Summit & Workshop on October 9!

Gloria brings a business owner’s perspective to the 9:00 a.m. panel, “AI Innovation in the Business Community.” At AMWAT, she has led the development of tools to improve estimating, understand costs and profit margins, and streamline operations. She also uses AI-assisted intelligence reports to inform business decisions and is developing an FF&E operations platform.

We’re proud to see Gloria share what she’s learning from putting AI to work in a moving and warehousing business.
