We're hanging out with the Women in Aviation San Diego chapter, LPA and the Ninety-Nines for a Halloween-themed Hangar Fly! Come in costume and bring something for the potluck. It’s BYOB, too! 🎃🍺

Don’t let the idea of a seaplane camp in Alaska or Florida stop you from pursuing a seaplane rating! A regular flight school could have just what you’re looking for.

TPN member Shaz earned his commercial seaplane add-on at a small school near Burlington, Wisconsin, in a Cessna 180 Amphibian for around $3,000, including the DPE fee.

He could study and fly at his own pace, plus practice landings on the Wisconsin lakes. A few jet skiers might’ve come a little too close, but that just meant he got some extra go-around practice! We’d say that’s an A+ for working under pressure!

He had a blast doing it this way and thinks regular flight schools deserve a look before you book a seaplane camp!
