And, if you need some work done on your plane he’s pretty good at maintaining them too!

Where are they now? 👀

We thought it would be fun to check back in on some of our old instructors and see what they’re up to. We connected with another one! ✅ only a few more to find!

Who remembers this blast from the past, we found Stefan Johansson!

Stefan was the CFI teaching for us from 1992-1998

When he left Terrell aviation he went to American Eagle to fly the Saab 340 in 1998.
He upgraded to captain in 2001. Waited to hold DFW. After 9/11 back to right seat of the Saab.
Flew the CRJ700 for a year as an FO. Upgraded again on the Saab but got displaced almost immediately.
Went to the right seat on the EMB145.
Finally upgraded on The Saab again in 06. Flew it for a year as a captain before I went to the EMB. Flew that one until I did our flow through to American in 2014.
Flew the MD80 until we retired it. Went to the Airbus and flew it until I upgraded on the 737 in 2022. Always been based in Dallas.

This has been fun, just a couple more old instructors to connect with! Who else are we missing?

Where are they now?

We thought it would be fun to check back in on some of our old instructors and see what they’re up to.

Who remembers this last from the past Mark Mayes?!

Mark taught for us from 1998-2000

He originally didn’t have airline ambitions, he flew corporate in single engine props off and on until 2016 when the airlines started looking more appealing.

After he left teaching he was flying corporate in a Caravan, the company eventually sold the Caravan and bought a Meridian. He flew for them until a better deal came along flying for a company with a Bonanza in West Texas.

In 2016 Mark went to Envoy with roughly 7000 hours and 3000hrs turbine, he flowed thru to American Airlines around 10,000 hours and 6000hrs turbine.
