As this New Year approaches, I would like to let you know where we stand here at DSTCo. Sail Transport in our Great Lakes region continues to be an obvious and in my opinion, a mandate for those of us concerned with future sustainability, community resilience and alternative energy solutions. I have held this vision in front of this community for several years and have had some very loyal supporters. I have tried several different business approaches and have yet to find the right combination that adds up to a viable operation. I am not giving up! I believe in this concept and believe we can do this! I have had some challenges in my own personal world that have made this all but impossible. I believe that we can transcend this as a community and I am still holding the torch high. I currently have someone interested in acquiring the boat to take it off my hands. For the good of this beautiful boat, I am having to consider this option. While i understand that this boat is not purpose built for sail transport , she does make a fine flagship and would be stout and sturdy enough to perform and be an eye catching ambassador for local sail transport.
URGENT NEEDS:
Volunteers to help get the boat covered for the season
Donations to cover the accruing boat yard bill
NEEDS AHEAD
Springtime wooden boat maintenance
a licensed boat captain
PRODUCTS
