I’ve been notified by Facebook this week that they are deleting this page because of a copyright infringement from 10 years ago(?)
I hired an artist for the logo so it’s not that.
It wasn’t intentional whatever it was.
Just tell me.

Anyway, this page has been inactive for a very long time but I appreciate all of you and your interest in the Sailing Transport endeavor.

It was fun ; until it wasn’t .
Some people just know how to ruin everything.

Fair winds and following seas and never go into business with an as***le. Lol 😂.

No carbon footprint...admirable ...possible...viable? Oh yes! I think so !! Lets make this happen in the Great Lakes.

As this New Year approaches, I would like to let you know where we stand here at DSTCo. Sail Transport in our Great Lakes region continues to be an obvious and in my opinion, a mandate for those of us concerned with future sustainability, community resilience and alternative energy solutions. I have held this vision in front of this community for several years and have had some very loyal supporters. I have tried several different business approaches and have yet to find the right combination that adds up to a viable operation. I am not giving up! I believe in this concept and believe we can do this! I have had some challenges in my own personal world that have made this all but impossible. I believe that we can transcend this as a community and I am still holding the torch high. I currently have someone interested in acquiring the boat to take it off my hands. For the good of this beautiful boat, I am having to consider this option. While i understand that this boat is not purpose built for sail transport , she does make a fine flagship and would be stout and sturdy enough to perform and be an eye catching ambassador for local sail transport.
URGENT NEEDS:
Volunteers to help get the boat covered for the season
Donations to cover the accruing boat yard bill
NEEDS AHEAD
Springtime wooden boat maintenance
a licensed boat captain
PRODUCTS
Local merchants who would like to have some of their products transported by sail to store shelves via open water trade routes...
Any group who would like to utilize sail transport May-October. Musicians going to gigs, cyclists, wineries, fiber artists going to fairs , farmers market transports, co-ops, CSA deliveries.
