Park Tucson provides convenient and safe parking in support of businesses, events, & other destinations in the Downtown Tucson, 4th Ave, & Main Gate/University areas as well as parking for residents in Tucson’s city center neighborhoods. Park Tucson was created in 1997 by the City of Tucson to stimulate economic development within the greater Downtown Tucson area by creating a partnership between
the City and the community that efficiently and creatively utilizes parking resources to improve the overall accessibility of the region. It is responsible for focusing, coordinating, and supporting the City's role in parking and associated issues. Park Tucson operates 6 parking garages and 5 lots in the Downtown and 4th Avenue areas and operates metered parking in Main Gate Square, areas near the University of Arizona campus, 4th Avenue, and Downtown. Park Tucson also manages resident, commuter, and student on-street permit parking programs within the Park Tucson boundaries (Grant Road, Country Club Road, 22nd Street, and Grande Avenue). Park Tucson’s primary service area includes the business districts along the Sun Link streetcar line as well as numerous residential neighborhoods in Tucson's central city area. Park Tucson is the City of Tucson’s primary parking enforcement agency and enforces throughout the city limits. Outside of the primary patrol areas, Park Tucson provides enforcement as requested by ward offices, neighborhood associations, or residents.
