Tulsa Area Clean Cities Tulsa Area Clean Cities promotes the use of alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies in eastern Oklahoma through training, events, meetings, etc

The Tulsa Area Clean Cities Coalition (TACC) promotes the use of alternative fuel vehicles to increase energy security, reduce fleet operating costs, and improve the environment while reducing petroleum use in the transportation sector. Together, these can create economic opportunity and improve public health. TACC educates fleets and individuals on alternative fuels, vehicle availability, and ref

ueling options, and manages several collaborative grant programs to educate first responders and code officials, displace gasoline, and improve air quality. The Tulsa coalition is one chapter of the nationwide U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities program, and serves as a resource for the eastern half of Oklahoma. The western half of the state is served by Central Oklahoma Clean Cities. Tulsa Area Clean Cities is hosted by INCOG, the regional planning authority for the Tulsa area. The program is member-supported, and funded by INCOG, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Department of Energy.

EMPOWER: Driving EV-Friendly Workplaces Forward
Transportation across the country is electrifying and more and more drivers are looking for places to charge their vehicles. Adding charging at workplaces is proving to be one of the best ways to help drivers access charging when they can’t install one at their home.
For workplaces, workplace charging offers many benefits, including…
· Recruit and retain employees and/or tenants.
· Act on sustainability and climate action goals.
· Increase employee satisfaction by providing convenient and reliable charger access. Receive recognition for being a leader in sustainability and EV adoption.
And offering workplace charging is cheaper and easier than you might think. In fact, research shows that offering workplace charging costs employers on-average less than offering employees a free coffee (2015 Gallup Poll).
For workplaces looking to install chargers, the road to a completed charging project can be challenging, and many workplaces don’t know where to start, who to ask for answers to their questions, or the incentives available to help offset the cost of their project.
The nationwide EMPOWER Workplace Charging project is driving ev-friendly workplaces forward by connecting workplaces with the resources they need to make decisions, install chargers, and get recognized for their leadership in providing access to EVs for their employees.
EMPOWER is partnered with over 30 Clean Cities Coalition coaches, working right in your backyard who will work with you every step of the way to help you install charging – from answering your basic charging questions, to identifying incentives to help your project pencil, and highlighting your successes.
Whether you're a small local business, a global Fortune 50 company, or any type of workplace in between, EMPOWER is your partner every step of the way.
By joining EMPOWER, you’re positioning your workplace to become a leader in sustainable business practices and workplace amenities for your employees.
Take the EMPOWER Workplace Charging Pledge at www.workplacecharging.com. You'll gain access to great workplace charging resources and connect with a Clean Cities Coalition workplace charging coach near you.
