We caught up with Matt at the 2026 National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburgh to hear about his journey, what the competition was like, and what this experience means to him. Join Us in Celebrating Luther & Stacey! 🎉

Luther joined Melton in October 2024 after an impressive career as an electrical engineer, a profession he held since 1998. With trucking already part of his family story, he decided to take a chance on something new and hasn't looked back. When he's not on the road, you'll find him spending time outdoors, gardening, and tackling projects around the house.

His Driver Manager, Staci, sums it up perfectly: "Luther recently moved to my fleet. He runs hard and communicates well."

We're also excited to recognize Stacey, who joined Melton in January 2026 after turning a lifelong dream of becoming a truck driver into a reality. Before earning his CDL, he worked in landscaping, and today he's building a successful flatbed career while staying motivated by his commitment to his family and the goals he's set for himself.

One piece of advice Stacey credits for his success? Knowing when to ask for help.

His Driver Manager, Rory, shared: "Stacey was seated in February, running hard, averaging just over 2,100 miles a week. He started the Southern Regional Fleet in April and has been excelling there as well."

Congrats Luther and Staci! Keep up the great work!

With previous driving experience, Daniel hit the ground running and didn't need time with a road trainer before taking the next step in his Melton journey. He recently picked up his truck at our Tulsa Terminal, and we couldn't be more excited to see what the future holds for him.

After just 9 months with Melton, James received the keys to his own Veteran Wrapped Truck!

Before joining the Melton family, James proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 12 years, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to excellence continue to shine both on and off the road.
