A special moment from last night's Brighter Futures Gala that I'm so grateful for. I was honored to receive the CASA of the Year award for my volunteer work.

Being involved with Brightside as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for youth experiencing foster care means a great deal to me, and it was incredibly touching to have that work recognized.

It's a reminder that some of the most meaningful things we do happen outside of our day-to-day work, too.
