June 27th entrance road is inaccessible. At level 26' small amount of water on entrance road-(check Alton graph)No observed vessel or dock problems.

Within the past 3 months HPYC has been inundated with water, at various levels. Recently the highest level has damaged much of the grounds, lifthouse and pool. HPYC board will have more knowledge of damage and a detailed plan to recover from the severe flooding. During the past several months the harbor was routinely checked and inspected to assure the dock and vessels were safe and not damaged.

It is important that the members rally around the clean-up efforts and offer any expertise in fix up efforts. During the cleanup efforts, we will continue to post the status of the harbor.
Thank you for your patience, and remember the importance of paid timely assessments during this recovery period

Welcome back Harbor Pointers to another new season. Thanks to all the members who braved the icy chill on Saturday January 19th to join us for the 2019 Harbor Point Board Election. Here are the election results:

Scott Shipman remains Commodore, Scott Hawkins remains Vice Commodore, Dan Lucasey remains Secretary, and Tom Byrd and Eric Szambaris remain Directors. Changes for 2019 see Dave Wickenhouser moving to Florida, and Tim Miller sharing his Treasurer post with newly elected Co Treasurer Richard Peterson. Congratulations and welcome aboard, Rich. Rich brings years of experience in accounting and finance at the corporate level, and his fresh viewpoint will bring new insight to the Board of Directors.

As always, thanks to Harbormaster Gary Kuncar, his wife Michelle, and volunteers Lotie & Sue who helped make Election Day a great success with a great spread of Harbor Point apparel, plus all the wonderful food & drink.

Our next Board meeting is Thursday February 14th at 6 pm (that’s right, it IS Valentine’s Day) so bring your sweetheart and help us plan out the 2019 season. Feel free to bring some candy or forget-me-nots for your favorite Board member if you like, but please leave the bow and arrow thing to Cupid. Hope to see you in February.
