Finally, working on my boat Polaris today, and having red beans and rice with a Corona on board for lunch, what could be better? I had to jack up the engine off it’s mounts and add 2, 1/16” shims to get it to .003” alignment between the engine and propeller shaft in order to have it run vibration free at low rpm.
I put a new component refrigerator in 3 weeks ago and it’s working great, the unit is smaller in size but keeps things colder that the original that came with the boat in 1994, wow 25 years, technology has improved, hope this one lasts 25 years.

Another day, another big boat - a 53’ Carver, with electrical problems. There are so many electronics issues - electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, all in one big integrated system. When the boats are new everything is great, but as they age 10 years or more, weird things start happening and when one thing starts to fail it effects many other systems, in surprising ways. If you call the factory tech people on any component they are often not familiar with the problems or their equipment's relationship to other systems. And figuring out the root cause gets complicated. There are thousands of mega yachts in Florida that need expert help and I love what I do.
