U.S. Navy Sailors aboard a Willard Marine SeaForce 730 RIB, assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Normandy, as the ship conducts search-and-rescue training with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 9 in the Ionian Sea. Forces from Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG 2) and the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group (GRFCSG) are conducting the Sage Wolverine series of high-end maritime training events in the Central Mediterranean Sea to increase NATO interoperability a promote regional peace and stability.

U.S. Navy Sailors watch from the well deck of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego as three Willard Marine RIBS, two SeaForce 1100s and a SeaForce 700, manned by Sailors from from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 1 operate during NASA’s Underway Recovery Test 11 in the Pacific Ocean. In preparation for NASA’s Artemis II crewed mission, which will send four astronauts in Orion beyond the Moon, NASA and the Department of Defense will conduct a series of tests to demonstrate and evaluate the processes, procedures and hardware used in recovery operations for crewed lunar missions. Amphibious transport docks, like USS San Diego, have unique capabilities that make it an ideal partner to support NASA, including embarking helicopters, launching and recovering small boats, three dimensional air search radar and advanced medical facilities.

U.S. Navy Sailors aboard a Willard Marine SeaForce 730 RIB, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey, assist in bringing a Yemen patrol boat alongside Halsey. Two Yemen patrol boats were out of fuel near Yemen and required assistance. Halsey is the flagship for Combined Task Force 151, a multinational, mission-based task force working under Combined Maritime Forces to conduct counter-piracy operations in the Southern Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Somali Basin, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean.
