This poor little engine stopped running without warning. After some quick troubleshooting, we found that the fuel lift pump wasn’t producing any pressure. After we pulled it apart, we found this…. Keep your fuel and your fuel tank clean!

“Off The Hook” coming in for a 1,000 hour service. We inspected the heat exchangers on both engines, aftercoolers and gear coolers. We cleaned the gear coolers and after coolers. The port engine aftercoolers housing had been patched with JB weld from a previous service. Unfortunately, this remedy didn’t allow for a proper seal at the o-rings. Fortunately, we caught the issue before any damage had been done to the engine. With a new housing, freshly cleaned cooling bundle and some new o-rings, the guys at JMC Carters are back on the water fishing! Book your charter today! 978-914-0485

This customer came to us with a leaking oil cooler on his Detroit Diesel 6V92. Don’t use orange RTV to seal your gaskets, your oil cooler WILL leak! We were able to remove, clean, reseal and reinstall his oil cooler to get him back up and running!
