I-Bike: University of Illinois Bike Share Program

I-Bike: University of Illinois Bike Share Program I-Bike is THE comprehensive bike share program of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Test phase = Fall 2015
Full launch = Spring 2016

This program is funded by a grant from the Student Sustainability Committee. Bike share on campus is funded by students, for students. This program will have stations across campus that students can remove the bikes from. The bicycle locks are "smart-locks", which means Bluetooth-activated locks. No key required! We are conducting a one-month test phase in the fall of 2015 with a small group of vo

lunteers. The full program will launch in the spring of 2015 and it will be available to all students at UIUC for a semester fee. The locks will be purchased from a company called Bitlock, and the bikes will be purchased from Neutral Cycle, a bike shop on campus.
