Technology meets Transportation: How will up and coming companies like Uber and Lyft influence future transportation plans? Both companies are testing out new versions of mobile app carpooling services this month which will provide fares at significantly reduced prices. Will these companies be supplemental to public transit routes, or will they become another competitor for public transit?
