SolTrans SolTrans provides public transportation within the cities of Vallejo and Benicia connecting to Fairfield and BART stations in Contra Costa County.

The Vallejo Transit Center provides 3-hour parking, 24/7 security, public restrooms, and a Ticket Office. The Solano County Transit (SolTrans) joint powers agreement was approved by the member agencies City of Benicia, City of Vallejo, and the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) in the Fall of 2010 to consolidate Benicia and Vallejo transit services. The SolTrans Board of Directors is made up of the Mayor and a Councilmember from Benicia, Vallejo and the Solano Metropolitan Transportation Commission representative. The STA is an ex-officio member of the SolTrans Board. The first SolTrans Board meeting was held in December 2010. Refer to meeting agenda for time and location of meetings. SolTrans meetings are held the third Thursday of every month in either Benicia or Vallejo.

Solano County Transit (SolTrans) and Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano are preparing for the annual “Treat Yourself” Resource Fair on Wednesday, October 21, from 1–4 p.m. at the Vallejo Transit Center, 311 Sacramento Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.

The “Treat Yourself” event is designed to provide essential services and care for individuals who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused. Attendees will have access to mobile haircuts, showers, medical care, and a warm meal—along with other resources that promote dignity, comfort, and connection during the holiday season.

Community members are encouraged to drop off new socks, pajamas, blankets, hygiene products, and gently used or new coats at the Vallejo Transit Center Ticket Office to help prepare those in need for the colder months ahead.

The Vallejo Transit Center was vandalized over the weekend, resulting in damage to multiple passenger shelters, including broken screens and glass.

We know these shelters are important for keeping riders comfortable and protected while waiting for their bus. Our staff is working as quickly as possible to repair the damage and restore the Transit Center to its normal working condition.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to make the necessary repairs. Please use caution around damaged areas and follow any posted signs.
