Green Drake is still looking for drivers. Part time and full time, for Chesterton and Valpo routes. We provide training and entry-level access to delivering for a global brand. Must have six months experience in commercial driving and must hold an Indiana ‘For Hire’ endorsement. No CDL required.

We are looking for experienced drivers to cover 1-2 days per week. We need help delivering in Valpo/Portage/Chesterton areas on Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays. Delivering is a physical job. 10-15% of our packages are 50-150 pounds. Day starts and ends at the terminal in Hammond, IN. Must hold Indiana ‘For Hire’ drivers license endorsement. Must pass drug test and DOT physical.

In 2025, one of our drivers, Tom Hegeduis, earned a FedEx humanitarian award for helping a Chesterton resident that had fallen in the street.

Tom is our most senior team member. He leads by example, helping our new team members with tips on safety, quality and efficiency. Tom runs one of our unique routes in the rural portion of Porter county. Tom knows many of his customers by name. Green Drake Express is proud to have Tom on our team as a mentor to the rest of us.
