Today, The Expediting Company had the opportunity to do something a little different at the Vandalia-Butler Chamber WINGS event.

Instead of spending 10 minutes talking about transportation, we put the ladies to work. 😂

One package made its way around the room through local pickup, our terminal, line haul, air freight, warehousing, expedited service, final mile and even white glove delivery.

There were delays. Plans changed. Freight got rerouted. Things suddenly became urgent.

In other words… welcome to transportation! 😂

But at the end of the journey, we opened the package and got to share the part that matters most to us:

It’s not about the package. It’s about the person behind it.

Packages don’t care if they’re late. People do.

Behind every shipment is a person waiting, a business depending on it, a driver responsible for it, and a whole team of people working to get it safely from here to there.

At TEC, we move freight—but really, we move promises.

A huge thank you to Annette Shannon and James Free Jewelers for helping us make today extra special by donating our beautiful piece of “precious cargo,” along with the gift bags and cleaner for our guests.

And thank you to Vandalia Butler Chamber of Commerce, WINGS, for letting us take over the room for a few minutes and show everyone a little bit of what happens between here and there.

To our TEC family and friends: We have a little girl who could use all of us right now. ❤️

Adam from our IND team reached out to share some heartbreaking news. His three-year-old niece, Wrenley, has been diagnosed with leukemia. She is currently at Riley Children’s Hospital and begins her third round of chemotherapy.

Her family has a long road ahead, and a GoFundMe has been created to help with the expenses that will come in the months ahead.

If you are able and feel led to donate, any amount can help. But this post isn't only about money.

If you can't donate, please pray her name — Wrenley.
Pray for her little body to be strong.
Pray for healing.
Pray for her doctors and nurses.
Pray for her parents and family as they walk through something no family ever expects to face.

At TEC, we talk a lot about taking care of people. Right now, one of our own has a family who could use a whole lot of people standing behind them.

Whether it's through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing Wrenley's story, let's remind this family that they aren't walking this road alone.

It’s back-to-school season—which means backpacks, new shoes, first-day pictures…and **school buses back on our roads!** 🎒✏️🍎

At The Expediting Co., we like to put **real faces behind school bus safety.**

Because when one of our drivers stops for a school bus, they aren't just stopping for flashing red lights and a stop sign.

Monday starts before you ever clock in.

We all walk through the door carrying something from home.

Maybe it was a great weekend.
Maybe you barely slept.
Maybe there’s something weighing on your mind.
Maybe you’re already thinking about everything waiting for you when you get back home.

We’re human.

But when the workday begins, we have to make a conscious decision to be present.

Chock the tires.
Set the parking brake.
Take the extra look.
Slow down.
Pay attention to what’s happening around you…and to the people around you.

Because your day might be ending while someone else’s is just beginning. What you leave behind matters to the person coming next.

No one comes to work intending to hurt themselves or someone else.

But good intentions don’t create safe days. Intentional actions do.

So as we head into Monday, bring your purpose with you.

Be present.
Look out for each other.
Do the little things that prevent the big things.

Because at the end of the day, we all have something, or someone, we want to get home to.

Come in with intention. Work with awareness. Go home safely. 💚

🚛💚 **Meet Kevin – Our CVG Terminal Manager!** 💚🚛

This week we're introducing **Kevin**, the guy who helps keep our **CVG terminal** running and our freight moving throughout **Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana**.

When we asked Kevin what a successful day looks like, he didn't hesitate:

✅ *"All pickups and deliveries are made without issues, and there are no accidents to report."*

Now that's a safety guy's kind of answer! 👏

We also asked what makes the biggest difference in keeping the terminal running smoothly...

😊 *"Show up on a daily basis with a positive attitude."*

Simple advice...but pretty good advice for life, too.

Kevin says his favorite part of coming to work is...
