So after my last blog, I decided that I might want to spend a blog or two writing wine reviews and recommendations. Well my part of this journey is coming to and end. As I write this, I am sitting in the Airport in Rome, sipping on a cappuccino and waiting for the boarding announcement. Is it even possible to come to Italy and not drink wine? I'm sure that for some, there are other vices to indulge. Amazing cheeses. Coffee as art. Oh, and actual art... you know, Michelangelo, da Vinci and those guys. But when your blog post is called "Winos on the loose"... I mean, come on, what do you expect. Since my last post on wine we have managed to visit Budapest as well as Vienna. Tried quite a few wines in Hungary. The locals are quick to tell you that Hungary is a well kept wine secret. At the risk of angering the nice folk we met there, maybe it should stay that way. In particular, I was looking forward to tasting through a handful of white wines from a region called Balaton.
