💡 TIP TUESDAY: The most important Venice secret we can share — stop hunting at Venice Beach and get yourself to Caspersen Beach. 🦷🌊
Look at that photo. Rocky limestone ledges. Crystal clear water. People wading right at the shoreline where prehistoric shark teeth have been washing in for millions of years. That is Caspersen Beach — and it is the single best shark tooth hunting location on the entire Gulf Coast.
Here is why Caspersen beats Venice Beach for tooth hunting every single time:
🪨 ROCKY LEDGES — the limestone shelf just offshore acts as a natural tooth trap. Teeth get caught in the rocks instead of washing back out to sea. More teeth per square foot than anywhere else on the Gulf.

That is the Gulf of Mexico catching fire at the end of a Venice Sunday. A sailboat drifting through the last gold light of the day. The silhouettes of Florida pines against a sky that looks like it was painted by someone showing off. That little pavilion on the right where people sit and go completely quiet because there are no words for what they are watching.
Brohard Park is one of Venice's most beloved spots and one of the most underrated sunset locations on the entire Gulf Coast. It is quieter than the main beach, the views are unobstructed, and it has that magical old Florida feeling that makes you want to stay forever.
