We are excited to announce, the general aviation (G.A.) ramp at the airport is being replaced! The ramp will be under construction starting May 18th through August 15th. The image indicates phases of the construction and a time period for said phases. Pilots, please bear with us through this project and if you have any questions, please reach out to us.

ATTENTION
Starting tomorrow, Contour Airlines will be charging for checked baggage. You still get a carry on item and a personal item for free.

Some advise: If you gate check your bag it is free. When you check in and the Contour agent asks if you would like to check your bag, tell them you would like the gate check it. Please realize that when you gate check your bag you give your bag to a Contour agent as you get onto the plane and as you get off the plane at your destination they will hand it back to you.

If you have additional questions don't hesitate to ask a Contour agent!

Starting April 29 new policy and new equipment for TSA will cause both Contour and TSA to significantly change their boarding process. TSA is installing new equipment. This installation will drastically slow the security checkpoint process during the installation. These changes include;

1. Beginning on April 29 Contour will not be accepting baggage later than 45 minutes prior to departure time.
2. Beginning on April 29 The Contour counter will be closed 30 minutes prior to departure time.
3. While TSA installs their new equipment, all other machines will be out of service.
4. From April 29 to May 1, everyone who has a flight out of Vernal on these three days will be patted down and all bags will be physically searched by TSA personnel. The necessity for continual pat downs and bag searches will decrease significantly after installation of new TSA equipment is concluded.

We apologize upfront for this large scale inconvenience. Long term, this process will smooth out and yield a greater level of security and efficiency. Thank you for your understand and patience.

The terminal has new doors! The airport joined forces with Contour Airlines and Allsave Car Rental to make this happen. These new doors are more convenient for all airport guests. Traveling to and from Phoenix and Denver has never been easier! Thank you to Art Herrera (owner of Allsave Car Rental) and Contour Airlines for helping us improve the Vernal Regional Airport.
