Fall is an amazing time to see the fall colors along the Little Hole National Scenic Trail.

Take HWY 191 north from Vernal to the Flaming Gorge Dam.

The trail head starts at the south end of the Spillway parking near the bottom of the dam.

You can also get on the trail at the Little Hole parking area and head upstream. The most scenic part of the canyon begins about 1 mile upstream from Little Hole.
