🌊 Vero Beach Fun Facts! How many did you know? 🌴
1. We're on a BARRIER ISLAND! Orchid Island is sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon, one of the most biodiverse estuaries in all of North America.
2. Ocean Drive has NO traffic lights. Just roundabouts. That's the vibe here. Slow down, look around, enjoy it.
3. Vero Beach is one of the most active sea turtle nesting spots in the WORLD. Loggerheads, leatherbacks, and green turtles all call this stretch of beach home during nesting season.
4. The reason this is called the "Treasure Coast"? Spanish treasure ships wrecked right off our shores centuries ago. Gold coins still wash up on the beach occasionally. No, we're not joking.
5. Vero Beach kept its small-town soul. You won't find high-rises blocking your ocean views here. It's one of the last beach towns in Florida that actually looks like a beach town.
