Members of our recently attended the Inland Marine Expo (IMX) in Nashville, Tennessee. During the expo, Ryan Hicks, Continuous Improvement Manager – Magnolia Marine Transport (MMT), was named one of The Waterways Journal’s 2026 40 Under 40 Award winners. This honor recognizes 40 professionals under the age of 40 for their hard work and dedication to the inland marine industry.

Michael Carpenter, Director of Vessel Operations – MMT, also represented our team at the expo as a panelist on the IMX Port Captain’s Panel. The discussion highlighted today’s challenges for inland towboat operators, evolving technology in the wheelhouse and lessons learned throughout successful marine careers.
