SHIPPING & HANDLING
The mini-bulk carrier ZELADA DESGAGNES (background) arrived in New Bedford, April 23, 2026 at 11:25 AM, from its last port of call in Veracruz, Mexico. The 426-ft ship docked at The Marine Commerce Terminal on wind turbine business.
In the foreground, Tug SIRIUS was outbound with a loaded gravel barge headed to Martha's Vineyard.
This makes for the third of mini-bulk ships that have hauled away shipping cages and other ancillary parts from this location so far this year.
The initial phase of turbine blades and nacelle units delivered to the Vineyard Wind site, were recently completed.
The BBC SWITZERLAND, arrived on January 4, 2026 and loaded wind turbine blade cages, used in the shipping of blades.

The vessel had a posted destination of NIGG, in the Scottish Highlands of the UK.
The ZELADA DESGAGNES had not logged a destination, after departure at post time.
