While one cleanup may only make a small dent in the litter that’s out there, the impact goes beyond what we can see. These efforts bring people together, build awareness and show our neighbors what’s possible when we all pitch in to care for Louisiana’s waterways and communities.

In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep our movable bridges safe, reliable and operational through mechanical, electrical and structural maintenance and repairs. You’ll also support routine and emergency inspections and play an important role in maintaining critical infrastructure across our port.

🚨 MYTH BUSTERS: LIT’s Environmental Review 🚨

In the second installment of Myth Busters, Port NOLA Chief Engineer Officer Chris Gilmore breaks down the extensive environmental review behind the project.

Since submitting its permit application in 2021, LIT underwent nearly five years of independent federal and interagency review, supported by more than 65 environmental, engineering and community-impact studies examining potential impacts to water quality, flooding, air quality, traffic, rail, wildlife, navigation and more.

The result? A Finding of No Significant Impact and a permit with enforceable conditions for construction and operations.
