Hello! Can you believe we are in August already? And... are you like me and watching for what kind of WEIRDNESS is coming at us for this month?! This year is just a BIT much!!!
When the shutdown happened, I knew it would affect my business (obviously), but I wasn’t too worried about my “daily” because I make a really good pajama-clad hermit. Ahhhhh the benefits of working from home!
About a month in to isolation (also about the time I thought maybe I should try to grow things in my yard - turns out that’s not my thing.) my bonus brother who owns a temp agency needed a “temperature reader” for a big plant here in Waco. I thought “sure! I neeeeeed to get out of my house!!!”. Isn’t it funny how you hate to leave your house when things are normal, but you get super antsy when there isn’t anywhere to go?! The temp taking job was only supposed to be for a month or so - super easy - super random hours (at each shift change)... and here we are months in to it, still super random hours, and super easy! And just so you know, I haven’t worn my pajamas to work. Not even once.
Turns out - I LOVE my little “job”! I have been self-employed/working from home for sew long, I forgot how much I love people! I’m still making fabulous pocketbooks (THAT is happening at super random hours too!), and I’m still rolling with my boutique inside Sironia Waco, but I’m also having some crazy fun pointing a thermometer at people! I have met some AMAZING women and men that I will keep in my life forever, and I’m going to be sad when this temporary temp job ends! I seem to be walking around with a permanent smile on my face!
Who would have thought that the weirdest year in the history of my forever would bring such joy in to my life?!
All of this incredibly long post to tell you: I hope August doesn’t bring Dinosaurs back or who knows what - and I hope YOU have found some Joy in super random places through all of this crazy that’s been unleashed. I think of you everyday because YOU BRING ME JOY, and I sure do miss you.
Happy Sunday!!! (It is Sunday, isn’t it? 🤣)
