FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
9/6/2026

At approximately 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, a Pacific Security guard was injured in a shooting at the Valley Transit Transfer Center on Main and Fourth in Walla Walla.

Transit staff provided immediate assistance and transported the security guard to a local hospital. The security guard was treated and released.

Valley Transit is cooperating fully with the authorities investigating the incident. Currently, we have no additional information to release.

Due to the impact on employees and the location of the transit center, Sunday transit service has been canceled. Service will resume Monday with the previously scheduled limited holiday service.

Our thoughts are with the security guard and all affected employees. We are grateful to the transit staff who responded to assist and appreciate the work of authorities as the investigation continues.
