Valley Transit provides Fixed Route service on Trolley retrofitted buses in the beautiful Walla Walla Valley. We have been in existence since 1980, and providing rubber-to-road public transportation service since January 5, 1981. We provide around 750,000 rides a year to all different age groups and ability types in our community. We also offer Dial-a-Ride service for those who are unable to access our Fixed Route buses, Job Access for those who need a little extra help getting to and from work, and VT Plus service on nights and weekends to keep downtown access open to the community

Fall is officially on the schedule.
October 21st @ the Senior Center
We’ll be set up from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with an information table. Stop by and we’ll help you get signed up for Dial-A-Ride. If you’re 70+ you can ride there are no limits.
October 29th–October31st we have the Ghost Trolley
Hop on with one of our Ghostbussers behind the wheel for a tour of Halloween decorations, sponsored by the Provost Real Estate Team. Who you gonna call?
October 31 — Trunk or treat
Our Halloween crew will be handing out the good stuff: Main Street, Walla Walla, 3:00–5:00 p.m. and College Place Municipal Complex, College Avenue, 3:00–6:00 p.m. Costumes encouraged. Empty buckets not recommended.
November 11 — Veterans Day parade
Find us downtown at 11:00 a.m. The trolley will be rolling with some of our local retired service members. Come wave, say thank you, and ride with the people who already did the hard part.
Same buses. Better season. See you out there.

No service Monday, October 12. Back to normal Tuesday, October 13.
Valley Transit will have zero service on Monday, October 12, 2026, while our full team is in all-staff training. Fixed routes, Dial-A-Ride, and other service will not run that day.
Service returns to the regular schedule on Tuesday, October 13.
If you usually ride on Mondays, plan ahead: schedule errands for another day, or catch the bus again starting Tuesday. Thanks for giving our team the day to train so we can keep service reliable the rest of the year.

Seven days. No car. Just one very smug pup.
You found the app. You asked if the wheelchair fit. You called about the jacket on Route whatever. You stood at the Transfer Center with eight buses and still made it. Week Without Driving was a test drive. Day 7 is the closing argument: you don’t have to go back to circling the roundabout wondering if the people entering are gonna stop or cut you off. Valley Transit is still running 6 days a week. Routes, live bus locations, drivers who will point you to the right bus, and a dog who has been right all week.
Keep the streak alive and ride again Monday. Save some $$$ and buy some dog biscuits.

Day 6: Dude, there are 8 buses at the Transfer Center… which one do I get on?
If there’s any doubt about the route to your destination, ask the driver. They will point you to the right bus. That’s not a maybe. That’s the policy, the speech bubble, and the whole point of having a human in the seat.
Look at the large signs. Ask the driver. Get on the one they point at. Save your hair for later in life.

Left your cell phone. Your favorite sunglasses? It happens. Drivers turn in items when found and all items recovered end up at the Main office, 1401 W Rose st. when the day is done.
Call Valley Transit at 509-525-9140. If nobody picks them up in 14 days, they go to a local charity, which is at least a nicer ending than “lost forever on trolley 12.”
Check before you panic. Call as soon as you notice. Don't wait for 2 weeks, 14 days goes pretty quick.

Dude, will my dad's wheelchair fit on a trolley?
The dog has already run the numbers. If it fits through the door, Valley Transit can take it. That’s the whole thing from A-Z. Now for the question people as in the parking lot: “Will this work?” Our answer: Trolleys are built for mobility devices. Ramps, securement, space. If you’re not sure, call us before you leave the house and we’ll talk through the trip.
