Some of Lawrence County’s biggest advantages are hiding in plain sight. ✈️

This photo from the October 9, 1991 Times Dispatch captures a disaster preparedness exercise at the Walnut Ridge Airport involving approximately 225 military personnel.

More than three decades later, the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport remains designated as a FEMA District 6 Disaster Preparedness Airport.

That designation represents more than emergency preparedness. It speaks to the infrastructure and capabilities that exist right here in Lawrence County.

In an emergency, an airport like ours can help support the movement of personnel, equipment and supplies. On an ordinary day, that same aviation infrastructure helps connect our community to opportunities well beyond Northeast Arkansas.

The EV car charger at the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport is fully functional again. It has been down for sometime, but Beta fixed it today. Please let someone at the airport know if you have any trouble with the car charger.
