I know you guys are just dying to see what all I ate in Greece.
If you know me, then you know I’m a picking eater. So how did I survive? 🤣

Honestly, everything was fresh and didn’t have any preservatives. I felt amazing. No matter if it was pasta or a gyro and french fries.

Here is a look at (almost) everything I enjoyed in Greece 👇🏼

Fredo Espresso (of course 😜)
Curry Chicken
Koulouri ( somewhat similar to a bagel with sesame seeds, but much softer and less chewy)
Souvlaki (like a kabob usually served with rice/fries/pita, lemon, and lots of tzatziki)
Homemade hummus (my favorite was with lemon)
Typokayteph (your guess is as good as mine, basically a spicy feta cheese dip usually eaten with pita)
Tzatziki
Chicken with Parmesan linguine (probably not a traditional dish but it was all homemade and delicious)
Baklava (it was warm and served with homemade vanilla ice cream)
Pastitsio (a traditional pasta dish)
Gyro
Gelato

I did get to try everything on my list, so it looks like I will need to go back. 😉

Ok, so it is definitely that time where we talk SHIP 🛳️ 😜

To be completely honest with you, I was a bit skeptical. Between you and I, I thought this cruise line was for… retired folks. 🫣 Don’t tell my BDM.

Azamara Cruise Line is definitely NOT like any other cruise line and definitely proved me WRONG!

No big water parks, no casino, no paying extra for drink packages or for my fancy espresso addiction. 😉

I wasn’t on a ship with thousands of other people.
I actually had space to breathe.

No scheduled dinner times, I ate when it was convenient for ME.
Oh and don’t feel like leaving your stateroom to eat? No problem, room service is available for everyone.

Gratuities? Already built into the total cost of your cruise.

What I really enjoyed about Azamara Cruise Line is they not only encourage you to explore each location on the itinerary but they also incorporate local cuisine into some of their meals.

When I go to another country I am there to learn about where I am at.
That’s why I think Azamara may have just become my favorite cruise line.

(For the next 5 weeks 😏)

It’s almost like it was all a dream. Did this really happen?
And when can I go back?

Not going to lie, I was totally googling vacation homes. Don’t tell my husband. 😜

The hospitality, fresh food, and visiting ancient ruins that I thought I’d only ever read about.
It leaves you in shock when you are boarding that 10+ hour flight home.

My last stop in Greece before heading home.

This morning was spent viewing the ruins of the 5th century B.C. Acropolis of Athens and the Theater of Herodes Atticus.

Definitely a beautiful site to see and I can see why it is such a popular place to visit. (Aside from the history behind it) A lot of the original structures are still in place.

I am sad that today is my last day as I absolutely loved being in Greece, but this mama is ready to see her kiddos!!
