Our core business serves many metal suppliers for the automotive industry; operating 164,000 # GVW multi-axle in Michigan, 120,000 # GVW seven-axle equipment under permit in certain Midwest states and 80,000 # GVW five-axle flatbed equipment in the Midwest. Using this same equipment consisting of 74 trucks and 125 trailers, we can also satisfy the specific needs of our construction-material customers. Our equipment is designed for high productivity and efficiency and that allows us to best serve our customers' delivery needs. Job Description

Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic

GENERAL FUNCTION:

You will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs within the fleet.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1-year recent fleet, or heavy-duty truck/trailer vehicle maintenance experience
Knowledge of truck electrical and air-conditioning systems required
Certification preferred for brakes; suspensions, A/C and electrical
Aluminum and steel welding experience a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers competitive pay based on experience – starts at $20.00
5-day work week with 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm) overtime (time and a half) after 40 hours
