LET US REINTRODUCE OURSELVES!
It's been a little while, and we've welcomed quite a few new followers, so I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce Cork & Tap Excursions!
👋 I'm Mike Garbrandt, owner and founder of Cork & Tap Excursions.
Our story began in 2021 after I was laid off during the pandemic. But the idea behind Cork & Tap had actually been brewing (pun intended) for nearly a decade! My best friend and I had talked about starting a business like this for years, and in May 2021, I finally turned that dream into reality. When I am not out driving, I have been lucky enough to be married for twenty-five years to Wendy, a high school teacher who helps with correspondence. We have two children. Libby is a middle school math teacher who occasionally helps with driving, and Michael is our Freshman. When he is not playing sports or doing homework, he contributes by cleaning the van. We truly are a FAMILY business.
I've always loved the creativity, craftsmanship, and hard work that go into what our local w**emakers, brewers, and distillers produce. Even better, I love sharing that passion with our guests!
And yes, we do our homework! We've spent plenty of time sampling what each stop has to offer (after work, of course!). We want to know what makes each location special so we can share recommendations and help you discover something new. Don't be afraid to ask us about our favorites!
So, what makes Cork & Tap Excursions different?

We pride ourselves on being upfront, honest, and intentional about every detail of your excursion. No hidden surprises, no unnecessary stress—just a great time!
From coordinating reservations to making sure there's a box for all those bottles you just couldn't leave behind, we do our best to think of the little things so you don't have to.
For us, it's about more than just transportation. It's about creating memories.
Since our first excursion in May 2021, we've had the privilege of meeting some incredible people—from right here in Ohio to guests visiting from around the world. We've celebrated birthdays, bachelorette parties, anniversaries, friendships, and countless other special occasions.
And along the way, many of our guests have become friends.
That's what makes this business so special to me.
