The Inaugural Launch of the Serious About Safety Podcast!

The new Serious About Safety Podcast from the Air Charter Safety Foundation brings practical aviation safety discussions directly to the industry. Hosted by Larry Soles, Jr. Soles and featuring Candace Covington, Jason Starke, and Scott Arnold, the first episode, Clarifying the Cabin Safety Role, explores the important safety responsibilities of cabin personnel and the need for greater understanding, training, and preparation across business aviation operations.

Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) gives operators the ability to identify trends and operational risks that may otherwise go unnoticed during day-to-day operations.

When used effectively, FDM can support training initiatives, improve standardization, strengthen Safety Management System (SMS) programs, and provide better insight into how aircraft are being operated in real-world conditions.

The value of FDM is not in reacting to a single event, but in recognizing patterns over time and using that information to support safer, more informed decisions across the organization.

Safety Management Systems are not just about compliance. They are about running a smarter, more resilient operation.

A well-implemented SMS helps identify risk before it becomes an issue, improves decision-making, and creates a structured approach to safety across your organization.

If you are preparing for Part 5 requirements or strengthening your existing program, ACSF is here to help. Our SMS Tool gives operators practical guidance to build, manage, and improve their safety systems.
