Simyamaha.com is a division of Shipyard Island Marina, Inc. We are an authorized parts supplier and dealer for Yamaha outboards. We are located on Washington Island in Door County, Wisconsin. We are family run and owned business. We have been in the boating/marina business here since 1982. Besides being a dealer for Yamaha, we are also part suppliers for Mercury and Volvo Penta outboards, as well

as the sole import and distributor for Permatrim hydrofoils. We have a very diverse knowledge of the marine industry that goes beyond just selling boat parts. On any given day, we may be re-powering a 16ft fishing boat or a 50ft yacht. We may be installing electronics, polishing a hull or making boat repairs and upgrades. Our facilities include a 40-slip marina, 20,000 square feet of indoor heated and unheated boat storage, and a dedicated 4500 square foot marine repair building that we are able to drive our 70 ton Marine TraveLift into. Cleaning The Throttle Valve:

If a fuel injected outboard model stalls, experiences
idling problems or difficulty starting, or has throttle
position sensor (TPS)/ electronic throttle valve (ETV)
trouble codes, check the throttle valve. A dirty throttle
valve can cause the above listed symptoms and it is
important to inspect and clean the ETV/ throttle body
every 100 hours or during the unit’s yearly service…
