💚 Rotary is about more than meeting once a week—it’s about learning what our community needs and finding meaningful ways to show up. We had the opportunity to hear from Cherish Families of Colorado City, Arizona, an organization helping individuals and families move toward safety, stability, healing and generational success. 🫂 Their impact is incredible: more than 9,500 people served and over 416,000 services provided through crisis support, basic needs, therapy, legal assistance, advocacy and more. 💙

😌This is why we love Rotary. We get a front-row seat to the people and organizations doing important work in our region—and then we get to ask, “How can we help?” If you’ve been looking for a way to become more connected, give back, meet people who care about this community, and actually be part of something bigger than yourself…you might be missing out by not being in the room with us. 😉 Come check out Rotary—we’d love to have you at a meeting.

💚 Our Rotary Club had the opportunity to learn more about the incredible work being done by the Utah Food Bank right here in Southern Utah. ❤️💙

🥫 The St. George distribution center serves 34 partner agencies across five counties, distributing millions of pounds of food through local pantries, Mobile Pantry programs, school pantries, grocery rescue efforts and more. Volunteers donated over 37,000 hours last year, and every $1 donated provides $7.23 worth of food and services to families in need. 🥹

😕 Hunger exists in every community—including our own. Thank you, Utah Food Bank, for all you do. Whether you give food, give time, or give financially, every contribution makes a difference. ❤️🥫

💚 Every month, our Rotary Club has the privilege of volunteering with Utah Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry, helping ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food.

🥫 During this month’s meeting, we learned more about the incredible impact this program has on Southern Utah. Created to bring food directly to communities with the greatest need, the Mobile Pantry has helped more than 11,000 families and now serves approximately 200 households each month in our region. 🙏

🫂 This partnership is a perfect example of what Rotary is all about—neighbors helping neighbors. Whether we’re packing food, loading vehicles, or simply lending a hand, we’re proud to support an organization making such a meaningful difference in our community. 🌎

👏 We were honored to welcome our District Governor, Peter Cardon, who shared an inspiring vision for the new Rotary year and reminded us of the incredible impact we can make when we serve together.

👏 Congratulations to our members who were recognized today:
🔹 Beverly Whipple for her continued service as our Public Image Chair, helping tell the story of Rotary and the difference we’re making in our community.
🔹 Greg Grajeck for being recognized as a Benefactor for his generous contribution toward establishing our club’s named Endowment Fund. This lasting gift will generate earnings that can support District and Global Grants for years to come, creating an enduring legacy of service.
🔹 Cindy Grajeck on receiving her first Paul Harris Fellow recognition—a meaningful milestone that reflects her commitment to doing good in the world through The Rotary Foundation.

🎉 A New Rotary Year Begins! 🎉

💚 The Washington City Rotary Club is excited to welcome Shelby Thorn as our 2026–2027 Club President! We look forward to another incredible year of service, fellowship and community impact under her leadership. 💙💛

As we celebrate new beginnings, we’d like to recognize and thank the dedicated leaders who help make our club successful. Thank you to Scott Florence for his service as Club Secretary, welcome to Marianne Parlin as our new Club Secretary. We also extend our appreciation to Denton Zubke for his continued service as Club Treasurer and to Beverly Whipple for helping tell our story and promote our mission as Public Image Chair. 🙏

🥗 A special thank you to Chef Nola for providing a wonderful meal for our installation event and to Washington City for allowing us to use the beautiful Heritage Hall for this special occasion.

⛳️ We’re also proud to announce that thanks to the incredible support of our community and participants in the Mayor’s Cup fundraiser, Washington City Rotary was able to donate $6,000 to Utah Food Bank to help fight hunger right here in Southern Utah. ❤️

Rotary is made up of people who want to make a difference. Through service projects, community partnerships and meaningful relationships, we work together to make our corner of the world a little better.
