Community Transit of Watertown/Sisseton, Inc. is honored to be one of 16 organizations selected to receive a grant from the Prairie Lakes Health Care Foundation as the Foundation concludes its operations and fulfills its mission.

The Foundation is distributing approximately $5.1 million in charitable gifts, including $2.1 million in grants to organizations working to improve the health and well-being of our community.

We are incredibly grateful for this generous support and for the Foundation's recognition of the important role transportation plays in helping people access health care, maintain independence, and stay connected to their community.

Community Transit Co-Executive Director Kathy Holman and a host of other females supporters of the Watertown Area Community Foundation's "Women and Children grant gathered Wednesday motning, Aug. 5 at the Redlin Art Center. The purpose of the event was for supporters to learn more about the program and how the funds are utilized by recipients like CTWSI. The transit provider uses the grant dollars to provide rides for those women and children in the area who struggle to get to work, medical appointments, and more. Recipients also educated supporters on the workings of their businesses.

Reminder: All Community Transit locations are closed today for our annual Day of Training at Lake area Technical College in Watertown. Service will resume tomorrow (Saturday) in Watertown and all locations on Monday. Thank you.

Community Transit is proud to fuel our fleet with E30 whenever possible. By using E30 renewable fuel, we're helping reduce emissions, support American agriculture, and keep our communities moving with a cleaner, more sustainable fuel option.
E30 is currently available for our Community Transit vehicles at our Watertown and Webster locations, allowing us to maximize the use of this American-made renewable fuel every day.
