We visited Sandhill Wildlife Area today. We were disappointed we did not get to see the Buffalo. But we had a good time driving the 14 mile loop and saw lots of other animals and birds. Swans, deer, heron, kingfishers, and lots of other birds. The wild flowers were all so pretty right now. We had a great lunch at the Gallagher foundation site.

We visited Necedah Wildlife Refuge saw some wildlife and had a good 3 mile hike.

Our first Luny Bin road trip of the 2026. We left Katie’s home after enjoying Lucy’s play, The Little Mermaid and drove to Willow River State Park near Hudson WI. We set up in a really nice site that has shade to protect us in varies area all day long. Our first hike was around the campground the first day. On Monday we took a long hike to the Willow River Water Falls. If you remembered travel with our little wooden buddy named Odie, of course he had to join in the adventure. After a wonderful hike to the falls and enjoying the beautiful wild flowers blooming along the way we headed into town to see the area. Hudson is a sweet village on the St. Croix River. They have developed a wonderful riverfront just a block from the Main Street.
