Please inquire about the types of services you desire when obtaining a quote. Our rates for specialized transports are very competitive. Most trips take 1-2 days with cross country trips taking 3-4 days. Small Creature Ride Along
We do offer low bunny, sugar glider, hamster, guinea pig or other small creature ride along rates if met on our route as we pass through. These must require minimal care to qualify. Deviations from our route for door service or meeting will be charged at the standard minimum of 0.50 per mile on top of the ride along fee. Wait time for pick up or drop off is also an additional fee. The ride along rate for small creatures is $20 per 100 miles. We do not transport birds or rats. These are fragile creatures. While we are comfortable with them, we have not had the time to obtain proper guidance and education for transport needs and safety along with emergency care for them. Stress Free Budget Focused Service
While all of our services go well above and beyond the industry norms, we do offer everything from basic transport to full travel experiences with all the bells and whistles. If you have a price range in mind, please be up front about it. This will allow us to focus on dates and services available for your range without wasting time. If your pet has needs, or you have certain desires or wishes for your pets trip, please let us know. We have driven straight through with 2 drivers and an anxious dog with minimal stops. The following week we took 2 dogs on a coastal drive with beach visits, photos at every state rest stop, high end hotels 12 hours of each day with a separate bed for the dogs, gps tracking, multiple video chats with the owner each day, and grilled chicken for each meal, etc. The penthouse with a garden view and the double with a parking lot view will both allow a nights sleep however no one wants to be shown the penthouse then booked in the double! We aim to give each client the service and experience they desire at a price they can afford. Often we find we can come in at or under a clients planned budget for their desired service when they lead with their budget and desires! Puppies
We follow all USDA AWA guidelines for puppies under 24 weeks. This includes a strict no paws on ground policy. We ensure there is always a barrier between your pet and any surface outside of its kennel. Parvovirus, Distemper, Giardia, and other virus and parasites can be devastating to a puppy. It is more than keeping their paws off the ground. They must be protected from walking, laying, sniffing any surface that could be contaminated… including hotel rooms. As an added measure of protection we treat all of our kennels with microban every 24 hours. A 10 minute treatment continues to kill microbes for 24 hours after use while being completely safe for pets. Bullies and Brachycephalic breeds (short nose, stub nose, flat face, broad head)
We understand the special needs of these breeds during transport. They are susceptible to respiratory issues during transport and we take precautions for that. We are aware that they must have a cool, low anxiety environment with at least 10% more kennel space than other breeds their size. We bleach all kennels and then treat them with microban. We continue to treat with microban every 24 hours during use. Microban kills microbes for an additional 24 hours after use. This drastically lowers the amount of bacteria your pet is exposed to in their kennel. We also check their kennels several times per day to ensure they are kept dry. We monitor anxiety levels every 3 hours as needed. These are just a few of the checks we have to ensure safe transport of these fragile breeds. Medical Needs
I completed the American Red Cross First Aid course for dogs and cats 7/2021. My wife has 2 medical degrees in the human medical field. We are proficient with administering oral pills and liquids to dogs, cats, pigs, goats, some snakes, guinea pigs, chickens. We are proficient with subcutaneous fluid administration with an IV needle and line on dogs and cats. We are familiar and proficient with administering injections on most animals. We are proficient in administering topicals. My wife is proficient in wound care and dressing. If your pet requires these or other services please let us know when inquiring about booking. This allows us to select dates when my wife is available. We will not agree to perform a service we are not comfortable with. We are always willing to go to our local veterinarians and learn and they are amazing at teaching, but if we are not 100% comfortable we will not do it. Transport Requirements
All puppies should have proof of first round of vaccinations and deworming at pick up. This needs to be sent with them. Adult dogs need proof of current rabies vaccination. This should be sent with them. Some states require proof of current vaccinations for adults as well. Most states require an O-CVI This is an Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. It must be obtained from a USDA approved veterinarian. The OCVI should be obtained no more than 10 days before transport. The price for an OCVI ranges from $35-$200 depending on the vet. Most clients are able to obtain them for $40. The vet looks the pet over and makes sure it is healthy and fit for travel. The OCVI (also referred to as a health certificate for travel) certifies that the pet is healthy, disease and parasite free, and fit for travel. This protects everyone and ensures your pet is healthy for travel. THE RISK OF TRAVELING WITHOUT PAPERWORK
If your pet is traveling without proper paperwork and the transporter is stopped the pet will be confiscated. Depending on the state the pet will either be placed in a shelter until the owner arrives in person with proof of ownership to pick up or it may be euthanized. The transporter may be fined and/or arrested. The same applies to a transporter without USDA Registration crossing state lines with a pet. Payment
We use Square Business Invoicing. If you are not familiar with Square we encourage you to look them up. They are tied for the top payment processing company. Their safety, security, and client protection are unmatched by any other company. The use of Square Business Invoicing keeps our company from handling any payment information. We email your contract and invoice. The contract can be initialed and signed from any cell phone, tablet, laptop, or PC. For payment, you click the payment link in the invoice and it takes you directly to Square’s secure payment site. When you make your payment they process it and deposit into our business account with them. They have a few different options for payment including debit, credit, ACH (full invoice amount only), payment apps, and ipay. The United States Department of Agriculture requires payment to be secured prior to transport. This has been a huge issue as it has led to a sharp increase in scams. A quality company will require payment up front before pick up… but so will a scammer because they don’t plan to show up. While you are welcome to pay at any time, our invoice is never due until we pick up. If you would like to pay a portion at drop off this can be arranged. Square provides a card authorization form that allows you to secure payment without paying up front by giving permission to draft payment 24 hours after drop off if payment has not yet been made. Scammers hurt everyone and cause a head ache for our industry. Please help keep pet transports safe by taking the time to properly report all scammers. We strongly encourage researching of each company you consider hiring. If hiring an individual please research them. It is hard to hide a bad reputation in the pet world. 10 minutes of research can save you a lifetime of heartache. About us
We are from Waxahachie, Texas about 25 minutes south of Dallas. We are polite, kind, pleasant animal lovers. We live on just over an acre and are owned by 2 dogs, 3 cats, 7 hens, 2 pygmy goats, 1 mini pig, and 2 teenage humans. We are blessed to have our father and brother to take care of the animals while we are on the road and a wonderful coparenting relationship and a wealth of family to care for the teenage humans. We have an extensive history working in animal rescue and fostering. In 2020 our current dogs reached an age where they aren’t welcoming to any new pets and we were forced to stop fostering and let them enjoy their old age stress free. In 2017 our family was rocked with a cancer diagnosis for my wife. By the end of 2017 she won her battle and was cancer free but it left its mark on her. She was left with multiple autoimmune disorders and a multitude of other issues. 17 surgeries and lifelong low dose chemo later, she was forced to end her career with the U.S. government. I was struggling to maintain my full time management career and provide adequate care and support for her as well. In early 2021 a series of events forced a career change for me. My hobby of working with pets became a high demand service. I found myself transporting more pets each month. My wife was able to join me and together we are a force of love, patience, and caring that is unmatched! The requests poured in and we formed Garrison Family Pet Transports, LLC. We became a business, obtained licenses, registrations, insurances, equipment, business software, and EIN to hire an office staff for 2022. In mid-2021 we discovered Citizenshipper and similar sites which allow us to fill in remaining space on our route and book vacant dates. This has only served to strengthen our company adding an additional 90 transports in 8 months from CS alone. In 2021, with 1 team, we delivered over 250 pets and drove 230,000 miles. 2022 is already looking to beat that. As of March 15 we have covered over 60,000 miles and delivered over 100 pets, clean, safe, loved, and on time with the exception of 2 blizzards that caused hotel stops. We maintain 100% transparency with our clients. We never use false gimmicks or claim to be anything we are not. We never ask for a good review, only an honest review. To date, that has brought us over 70 reviews all of which have been 5 star. We are constantly making changes and upgrades to be the best and safest company we can. We are firm believers that God puts us where we are supposed to be. We had big corporate careers and plans one day and the next day we are owners of a highly recommended pet transport company. At Garrison Family Pet Transports the road to our hearts is paved in paw prints! Welcome to the Family!

My wife and I are beginning a community outreach project to help fill a gap in our county. It doesn't take much to support it.
We started a page called Share The Spay.
I can not link it just yet but I will edit this post as soon as I can.
Please Follow that page. We hope to use engagement to monetize the page so it can fund a local spay/neuter program.
This page is monetized. We get around $40 per year and we use that on pet toys/treats. If your pet has ever traveled with us and the food was left out or your baby was bored... you know that we don't charge to pick up your pets brand of food, some toys, maybe a mat or rug if they seem uncomfortable, blanket if they seem cold or nervous, etc. We have never charged a client for this.
Our company has always done volunteer work, helped those on a budget or in difficult situations, donated transports to rescues when we can, all in an effort to constantly give back. After the Tesla hit us last May, we have struggled to rebuild but we are doing it. Unfortunately, we have not had the resources to help others like we used to and that hurts the most.
While my wife has been sick this last week she has doom scrolled on social media. Yesterday, she saw the 5th family in a row that was using social media engagements to make micropayments to get out of debt. Combine that with a Facebook Feed full of dumped dog, rehoming dog, this dog showed up, and free to a good home puppy posts and she had an idea.
We want to see if we can use this platform to make a difference and solve a serious problem in our community.
My wife is Savvy and can get pets spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped for less than $100 each. (Ours were less than $60)
Our company will volunteer our time to transport to and from any of the spay/neuter appointments Share The Spay is able to fund. Please consider searching for and following the page.

We believe Sabrina is doing better but it is hard to be certain. She improves and then goes back a step.
Last Sunday she was taken to the hospital by ambulance where she remained until Tuesday. After being discharged she has had to obtain IV Fluids from her doctor. She had pancreatitis which could have been from a number of things including fast food.
Her labs look better but things are not consistently moving beyond her stomach into her intestines the way it should. If you would like to include her in your prayers, pray that she digests the way she should.
It can take a few weeks to get through this and back to consuming a normal amount of calories per day. We hope to know more after her appointment on Wednesday.
THANKFULLY, September and October is our slow time every year!
Any transporters currently available, feel free to comment. I am looking for people to refer out to.
(I will monitor and delete scammers)

Just a heads up, we are not responding to messages. Sabrina is in the hospital. They admitted her yesterday. She has at least another day in there.

Dusty and Billy are the piggies. Melody is the dog. She's and elderly girl but still loves her long walks. I forgot her post walk treat right before one of those photos... can you spot which photo? No worries. I realized right after the photo and she got her mini milk bones! I have 2 beautiful kittens. I had just fed one and she absolutely was NOT about to look away from her food. I LOVE these tiny containers from Dollar tree. The little bit of water they hold is perfect for a kitten and if it spills it is such a small amount that there is no wet, mad, kitty. I refill water every 3 hours and I've never had a kitten drink it all. These babies are on day trips. All day... but day trips. My usual set up is bird bowls on the door and a disposable litter box under the bird bowls to catch any water splashes with space for the kitty behind the litter box. If you put the litter box in the back of the kennel... the kitty will likely spend the trip sitting and laying in it. They like to hide in the back of the kennel. Bowls on the door are GREAT for refilling without opening the door. Those small bowls I get that everyone asks about... bird section! They are bird bowls. They look just like the large dog bowls that attach to the door... but a smaller version that is perfect for pups or kitties.
I'll have photos tomorrow of kitties with my usual set up.

The final bookings are coming in this morning. So thankful.
We will leave Texas with 2 piggies and a pup. Pup goes to Missouri and piggies go to Tennessee. We pick up an elderly dog in Kentucky and a kitten in Kentucky and Michigan. We drop those 3 off in Upstate NY, Massachusetts, and Southern New Hampshire. On the 20th we wait in New York for Eyebrow to arrive by plane we also have a Shar-pei joining us. Eyebrow goes to Ohio and the Shar-pei rides back to Texas with us. We may also have a kitty from Kentucky to Oklahoma but that is still pending.
This is a perfectly booked route and I am beyond thankful.
My sister is on her way here and I am prepping my bags. Look forward to meeting everyone and loving on your furbabies!

September and October are WIDE open. Sabrina has a birthday on September 19th and we have another birthday to be home for 2 days before that. Obviously September 17-19 are out but all other dates are open. We will schedule our routes around the first clients that book. These are always 2 very slow months for us.

08/10/2026

We are booking for our August 17th route covering the eastern half of the U.S.
Please message us if you would like to book! I am fully open leaving the New England area.

When we aren't on the road... our family plays pool league together. Sabrina plays 8, 9, doubles, and ladies. Our son is on our 8 and 9 team. Our daughter is on our doubles, 8, and ladies teams.
Sabrina and Skylars ladies team will compete in World Qualifiers Spring of 2027. Sabrina and our son both got 9 on the Snap's on the same night. The 3rd photo is patches that came for Sabrina when she was out of town. The last 2 photos are when Eric met Efren Reyes and beat Jeanette Lee in Las Vegas this April while Sabrina was playing 8 ball singles in the World Championships.
In our off time we enjoy a little competition and teaching new league players! Both of our children are adults now with busy adult lives... but we get to see them a few times a week for pool when we aren't on the road.
This is also the reason we don't respond to messages after 6:30pm Monday-Thursday... and sometimes the reason one of us is awake and responding when you message our page after midnight on a weekday! 😁
We hadn't shared our life or our kiddos in quite a while... because a few people said it was unprofessional. We have learned that most of you miss us sharing and ask about our lives, kids, pool, etc. At the end of the day, the truth is, we aren't a super professional business. We are a little family doing something we enjoy and love for people that appreciate the extra love and care we give. I don't want to change that just to be a big, successful company.
We adore our current client base. We enjoy the slower pace. We don't make a lot, but we make enough to pay the bills and keep the lights on... and sometimes that is enough. We are much happier now and that really matters. Thank you so much to all of our clients! You add to the happiness and peaceful enjoyment. I hope each of you are blessed in the same ways you continue to bless us.
As I watch the sunset this evening, driving in to Texas, I am happy, content, at peace, and incredibly thankful. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
