My mother carried the light forward, and I gracefully stepped into their footsteps. This makes me the third generation of doll makers in our family, keeping our heartbeat ali My mother, Delores, continued this tradition —choosing a name from the Angel Tree and hand-making a doll so that no child would feel forgotten. Her mother, my grandmother, was a seamstress, and that gift of creating with love was passed down through our hands. I began making dolls at age 32, continuing the same purpose:
to offer comfort, joy, and the feeling of being held. Each doll is handcrafted — some taking up to 21 hours to make. Every stitch carries story. Every doll carries love. And today, this legacy also gives back:
💛 $50 from every doll sold is donated to Helping At Risk Kids (HARK)
to support children and youth in Buncombe County. The dolls are made to hug. They are comfort you can hold. They are love that continues. They are home in the shape of a doll.
