Congratulations Webster Scale !!!

Joel, along with our team at Webster Scale, successfully transformed a 55-acre site into the fully developed Western Sunset Addition residential subdivision in Webster, SD.

Throughout discussions, Joel consistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork. This achievement was made possible through the dedicated efforts of our Webster Scale team and other key contributors involved in the project.

This award is not presented annually; however, it was awarded this year and accepted by Joel at the Association of General Contractors (AGC) annual event.

AGC OF SOUTH DAKOTA GOOD CITIZEN AWARD
The Good Citizen Award is awarded in recognition of those people in our industry who, by their action and by their service, accomplish meritorious deeds. These will be singular achievements, which bring credit to the individual or their firm and thereby improve the image of the construction industry.

Good Citizen Award
This award recognizes individuals in our industry who go above and beyond – those who make a meaningful difference through service to individuals in need, communities, charities, churches, hospitals, fraternal organizations, governmental agencies, and more.

This year’s recipient exemplifies that spirit. Through vision, leadership, and commitment to community growth, he played a key role in transforming 55 acres of raw agricultural land into a fully developed residential subdivision in Webster – helping meet the needs of a growing community and creating a lasting impact

Webster Scale Inc. is excited to kick off sponsorships for the Annual John Shoemaker Ice Fishing Tournament — and we’re looking for individuals and businesses who want to get involved and make a difference.

Just like last year, all sponsorships and donations go directly to the John Shoemaker Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating high school senior pursuing a degree in the construction industry at a college, university, or technical school. The scholarship is thoughtfully managed and awarded by Angela & Joel Shoemaker, who carefully review and vet all applicants.

John was a passionate advocate for workforce development and believed deeply in attracting the next generation to our industry. This tournament and scholarship are a way to continue that legacy — and your support plays a huge role in keeping it alive.
