Clarence found a place to relax when we were on our way to Chattanooga last month. He is known for laying down and taking short naps on our trips!

☕️ 2 years ago today we visited Inspired Coffee as part of our 3 day Lake Geneva, WI group trip. That's Bridget when she paid for everyone's coffee drink.
At Inspired, their goal is to put people with disabilities in the spotlight as employees – to celebrate them – and to change the conversation about their potential.

We are counting the days until our sold out Trains of Colorado trip in August.
Cog trains can climb steeper hills than other trains.
This will be one of our experiences 🙂
There are only 3️⃣ operating passenger cog trains in the United States.

1. The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway in Manitou Springs, Colorado, which Bridget has lined up. Recognized as the highest in the world and the longest cog railroad in America. It climbs 9 miles from the base at 6,560 feet up to the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak. The journey takes about 3 hours round-trip and operates year-round. We are SO looking forward to it!

2. The Mount Washington Cog Railway in Mount Washington, New Hampshire
Built in 1869, this is the world's first mountain-climbing cog railway. It operates on the steep slopes of Mount Washington (the highest peak in the Northeast) using a mix of historic steam and modern biodiesel locomotives.

3. Quincy Mine Cog Train in Houghton, Michigan (Upper Peninsula)
Operating within the Quincy Mine National Historic District, this is a much shorter and historical rack-and-pinion train. It takes visitors down a steep hill into the copper mining shafts, offering an immersive look at 19th-century mining operations.
