Weirton Transit Corporation The Weirton Transit Corporation offers bus services throughout the City of Weirton. As always, WTC has established only a set amount of stops. to 4:30 p.m.

Anyone needing service OFF the regular route must call the Transit Office at 797-8597. CALL FOR APT Before 4:30 PM Monday through Friday- ONE DAY IN ADVANCE (first come first serve) so we may alert the drivers of any deviation requested along their route. Some wait times may be up to 20 minutes, please be patient. Staying along main route requested if possible in order to maintain scheduled stops

. Riders must have fares ready upon boarding. Fares are $2 each way, $3 each way for a deviation (off route). $4 for Demand Service, $5 for Same Day Demand Service. Monthly passes can be purchased for $40 (Regular Route) $50 (Off Route) $60 (Demand)

NO request for a pick up will be added to the schedule via voicemail.. You must speak to the office staff to schedule a pick up. However you can leave a cancellation on the voicemail. DEMAND SERVICES:
There are no discounts on Demand Services. The cost of a Demand Service is $4.00 Per Ride... $5.00 for Same Day Demand Service. Demand Service is based on availability. You must call at least 1 day in advance to schedule a Demand Service (If available) It is best to call and schedule the Demand Bus as soon as you have a date and time you will need the Service. The Demand Service fills up very quickly.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Weirton Transit Corporation (WTC) is now accepting applications for an annual REGULAR/DEVIATION ROUTE bus pass for low to moderate income residents of the City of Weirton through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Applications will be accepted beginning Monday March 15th, 2021 through Friday April 9th, 2021. Download an application from the WTC website at
weirtontransit.com
or to call the office at 304-797-8597 between 9a.m. and 3p.m. Monday through Friday to request an application via mail. Applicants must provide proof of residency and verification of income. In the event that the applications exceed funding, a random drawing will be held to determine the individuals to receive passes. The drawing will be held Thursday, April 15th, 2021. Selected individuals will be notified by phone and passes will be mailed before May 1, 2021. Family members of WTC employees or Board members are not eligible. For additional information, please call WTC at 304-797-8597.

Office hours are Monday--Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you reach the voicemail during regular business hours, we are assisting another caller of away from the desk. Please leave your name and number and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We can not schedule rides via voicemail after business hours. However you can leave a message to cancel a ride.
